This leather workshop is located in Furriers’ Tower, on Cojocarilor Street no. 10. The artist is Ana Nistor, who has inherited this craft from her father. At present, although the shop is specialized in traditional leather handicraft, one can also buy here some more contemporan or reinterpreted creations. We placed this workshop in our museum section as you will be able to witness how an inhabited and well integrated in the city life medieval tower looks like. And this is an interesting experience.
This 16th century monument is now under construction and will soon be open to the public as a cultural events venue for local people and visitors of Sighișoara. In the summer of 2023 the place will host concerts, theater plays, movies, exhibitions and workshops. All this will happen in a medieval restored bastion which will be put to good use. We can actually say this is an open air museum.
